the pacing of the story made it feel like fever dream that a couple’s having together almost, everything’s breaking and that’s how it’ll always be is a such perfect state of affairs
this is devastating in the quietest way. it understands how desire, guilt, tenderness, and cruelty braid together until you can’t tell which one you’re reaching for anymore. the dreams, the time jumps, the fridge light, the child in the backseat—they all feel like the same wound seen from different angles. nothing is explained, yet everything is confessed. it’s intimate without asking permission, and that last line feels like an ethical command disguised as mercy. i’ll be thinking about this one for a long time.
